FANTASY RIDERS: ROUND 17

The league table after round seventeen of the Jagger Racing Fantasy Riders 2010 League can be seen above (click image to enlarge).

League leader Darren (1231 points) had his lead cut slightly to 99 points, with Stuart (1132 points) retaining second place from Graham (1123 points). Our top-scoring manager this round was Haziq with 38 points.

In the US MotoGP Jorge Lorenzo took another 'giant leap' closer to claiming his first premier class title and then celebrated his victory by dressing up as a US Astronaut! Once early leader Dani Pedrosa crashed out of the Laguna Seca race, Lorenzo set a relentless pace that no-one else could live with, to take a comfortable win. Casey Stoner came home in second position with an injured but resilient Valentino Rossi third.

Round 18 of the Jagger Racing Fantasy Riders League takes place next weekend as World Superbikes comes to Silverstone for their first races on the new circuit. See the Fantasy Riders website for further updates.

FANTASY RIDERS: ROUND 16

League leader Darren (1202 points) extended his lead over the chasing pack to 106 points, with Stuart (1096 points) regaining second place from Graham (1094 points), with Paul fourth on 1078.

In an exciting German MotoGP race at Sachsenring, Dani Pedrosa confounded his critics by battling with and beating championship leader Jorge Lorenzo. Casey Stoner took third after a thrilling battle with Valentino Rossi, who was returning early from a badly broken leg. Unfortunately Randy De Puniet suffered a similar injury during this race and will miss at least one round of the championship.

British Superbikes continued at Snetterton in Norfolk with a triple-header after the cancelled second Knockhill race was carried over to this meeting. HM Plant Honda's Josh Brookes took the race one win from team mate Ryuichi Kiyonari, with Tommy Hill third.* Brookes also took the second race, from Hill Alastair Seeley. The Australian was then cruelly denied a hat-trick when his Honda failed in race three, with Kiyonari taking advantage to win ahead of Hill and Michael Laverty. Tommy Hill's consistency over the weekend saw him regain the lead in the BSB championship just two points ahead of Brookes.

Round 17 of the Jagger Racing Fantasy Riders League takes place next weekend as MotoGP crosses the Atlantic to Laguna Seca in California. See the Fantasy Riders website for further updates.

* Please note: The scores from this race will not be counted towards the Fantasy Riders competition. For more details, see their website.

FANTASY RIDERS: ROUND 15

Our top six managers all scored 59 points this weekend, so leader Darren (1082 points) remains 60 points clear of Graham (1022 points), with Stuart third on 1001. The Jagger Racing League moved up a further place to 5th in the listings for personal leagues, from 59 entries.

Max Biaggi increased his points lead in the World Superbike championship after another strong weekend at Brno in the Czech Republic in which he took a first and a second. Jonathan Rea also achieved that feat, winning race one from Biaggi and pole-man Crutchlow, before following Biaggi home in race two, ahead of Michele Fabrizio.

Round 16 of the Jagger Racing Fantasy Riders League takes place next weekend as MotoGP (and possibly Valentino Rossi) returns at Sachsenring in Germany, while British Superbikes continues at Snetterton in Norfolk. See the Fantasy Riders website for further updates.

FANTASY RIDERS: ROUND 14

The league table after round fourteen of the Jagger Racing Fantasy Riders 2010 League can be seen above (click image to enlarge).

Leader Darren (1023 points) extended his points lead to 60 points, with Graham (963 points) overtaking Stuart (942 points) to move into second place. Darren's great form sees his team move up to 27th place in the overall Fantasy Riders table, which has in turn contributed to the Jagger Racing League moving up to 6th place in the listings for personal leagues, out of 59 entries.

MotoGP title leader Jorge Lorenzo again lead from the first lap to the chequered flag to take a dominant home win at the Catalunya GP in Barcelona, ahead of Dani Pedrosa and Casey Stoner. British Superbikes took place at Knockhill and the Scottish weather played a huge part in proceedings. Race one was run in wet and windy conditions, with rain-master Michael Rutter taking his first victory in two years ahead of the HM Plant Honda pairing of Ryuichi Kiyonari and Josh Brookes. Unfortunately, despite the best efforts of the officials, race two eventually had to be cancelled due to the inclement conditions. This race will now take place at the next meeting at Snetterton, making that round a three race triple-header.

Round 15 of the Jagger Racing Fantasy Riders League takes place next weekend as World Superbikes resume at Brno in the Czech Republic. See the Fantasy Riders website for further updates.

FANTASY RIDERS: ROUND 13

The league table after round thirteen of the Jagger Racing Fantasy Riders 2010 League can be seen above (click image to enlarge).

The battle at the top of the table continues, with Darren (948 points) making a break on Stuart and Graham after a strong weekend performance. He extended his lead in the table to 47 points over Stuart (901), with Graham now a further 12 points back on 889.

On Saturday MotoGP title leader Jorge Lorenzo lead from the first lap to the chequered flag for the second race running to take a convincing win in the Dutch TT at Assen, ahead of Dani Pedrosa and Casey Stoner. The next day in World Superbikes at Misano, in-form Max Biaggi took another double to make it four wins on the trot. Carlos Checa and Troy Corser followed the Roman home in race one, while Briton Leon Haslam took second in race two from Michele Fabrizio. Meanwhile in British Superbikes at Mallory Park (are you keeping up?!) the HM Plant Hondas were dominant, with former double champion Ryuichi Kiyonari leading team-mate Josh Brookes home in both races. Michael Laverty took third in both races, making it a great weekend for the Laverty clan as brother Eugene took victory and the points lead in the World Supersport title chase.

Round 14 of the Jagger Racing Fantasy Riders League takes place next weekend with the Catalunya MotoGP from Barcelona and British Superbikes from Knockhill in Scotland. See the Fantasy Riders website for further updates.
