FANTASY RIDERS: ROUND 17

The league table after round seventeen of the Jagger Racing Fantasy Riders 2010 League can be seen above (click image to enlarge).

League leader Darren (1231 points) had his lead cut slightly to 99 points, with Stuart (1132 points) retaining second place from Graham (1123 points). Our top-scoring manager this round was Haziq with 38 points.

In the US MotoGP Jorge Lorenzo took another 'giant leap' closer to claiming his first premier class title and then celebrated his victory by dressing up as a US Astronaut! Once early leader Dani Pedrosa crashed out of the Laguna Seca race, Lorenzo set a relentless pace that no-one else could live with, to take a comfortable win. Casey Stoner came home in second position with an injured but resilient Valentino Rossi third.

Round 18 of the Jagger Racing Fantasy Riders League takes place next weekend as World Superbikes comes to Silverstone for their first races on the new circuit. See the Fantasy Riders website for further updates.

FANTASY RIDERS: ROUND 16

The league table after round sixteen of the Jagger Racing Fantasy Riders 2010 League can be seen above (click image to enlarge).

League leader Darren (1202 points) extended his lead over the chasing pack to 106 points, with Stuart (1096 points) regaining second place from Graham (1094 points), with Paul fourth on 1078.

In an exciting German MotoGP race at Sachsenring, Dani Pedrosa confounded his critics by battling with and beating championship leader Jorge Lorenzo. Casey Stoner took third after a thrilling battle with Valentino Rossi, who was returning early from a badly broken leg. Unfortunately Randy De Puniet suffered a similar injury during this race and will miss at least one round of the championship.

British Superbikes continued at Snetterton in Norfolk with a triple-header after the cancelled second Knockhill race was carried over to this meeting. HM Plant Honda's Josh Brookes took the race one win from team mate Ryuichi Kiyonari, with Tommy Hill third.* Brookes also took the second race, from Hill Alastair Seeley. The Australian was then cruelly denied a hat-trick when his Honda failed in race three, with Kiyonari taking advantage to win ahead of Hill and Michael Laverty. Tommy Hill's consistency over the weekend saw him regain the lead in the BSB championship just two points ahead of Brookes.

Round 17 of the Jagger Racing Fantasy Riders League takes place next weekend as MotoGP crosses the Atlantic to Laguna Seca in California. See the Fantasy Riders website for further updates.

* Please note: The scores from this race will not be counted towards the Fantasy Riders competition. For more details, see their website.

FANTASY RIDERS: ROUND 15

The league table after round fifteen of the Jagger Racing Fantasy Riders 2010 League can be seen above (click image to enlarge).

Our top six managers all scored 59 points this weekend, so leader Darren (1082 points) remains 60 points clear of Graham (1022 points), with Stuart third on 1001. The Jagger Racing League moved up a further place to 5th in the listings for personal leagues, from 59 entries.

Max Biaggi increased his points lead in the World Superbike championship after another strong weekend at Brno in the Czech Republic in which he took a first and a second. Jonathan Rea also achieved that feat, winning race one from Biaggi and pole-man Crutchlow, before following Biaggi home in race two, ahead of Michele Fabrizio.

Round 16 of the Jagger Racing Fantasy Riders League takes place next weekend as MotoGP (and possibly Valentino Rossi) returns at Sachsenring in Germany, while British Superbikes continues at Snetterton in Norfolk. See the Fantasy Riders website for further updates.
