MEET THE SPONSORS: Breaston Autobody

This Weekend (2-4 May 2009)

Hi folks, after the first two rounds at Croft earlier this month, where Phil just managed to get in the points on the Sunday's racing (due to a few teething problems and a lack of riding time on the new machine), he is hoping for a turn round in fortune and to recreate the form from last year.

Phil is using the test day on Saturday to get up to speed at one of his favourites circuits, Cadwell Park in Lincolnshire. Racing is Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday. If any of you want to join us, your support will be more than welcome.

Croft - Rounds 1 & 2 - 18/19 April

Well, we got there, it wasn't the best lead up but I do have a habit of making things difficult for myself! In hindsight, testing the new bike and trying to fix a few minor niggles whilst at the first round of the Championship, may not have been the best approach, but I am happy to say I am pleased with the new bike and although not achieving the results I was hoping for or expecting, I kept it upright and have a small list of things to do before the next round at Cadwell.

I did gain a few points towards the Championship (a 15th and 14th) but am in severe need of a fitness plan! My starts were up to my usual standard (quick off the line) but I struggled to maintain the pace throughout the races.

3 IS THE MAGIC NUMBER

Jagger Racing will be competing under a new number in the forthcoming season's Derby Phoenix Club Championships. After using number 19 for the majority of his racing career, Phil Burgess-Lowe's GSX-R1000 Suzuki will sport the number 3 plate next season. Phil has moved to the Derby Phoenix series, and as a Phoenix regular already uses number 19, Phil had to find an alternative. After much thought, he settled on number 3, having finished third in the New Era Pro-Bike Superclub Championship last season.
